Shayda is an award winning Iranian filmmaker, editor, and photographer
based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2014, Shayda obtained a Bachelor’s
Degree in Digital Film & TV with Merit Scholarship from Limkokwing University
of Creative Technology Malaysia and in 2017, she completed a Master’s
Degree in Screen Productions & Visual Arts from Griffith University, Brisbane.
Her graduate film DEADLOCKED won Best Brisbane Film in Watchdog Film
Festival 2018.

Shayda has been selected to join some great directing and editing workshops
with Internationally acclaimed Orizzonti Award Winner Iranian filmmaker
Shahram Mokri and Asghar Farhadi's editor and Member of the Academy
of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Hayedeh Safiyari, acclaimed Australian
filmmakers such as Kim Farrant and Amiel Courtin-Wilson, re-known American
film Director Mark W. Travis and producing with Academy Award Winner
British producer Lord David Puttnam. In 2014, Shayda has made 2 short poetic
documentaries “Our Nature” and “Melaka in Details” in association with
Composers for Relive in support of Philippines Typhoon in 2014.
In 2017, Shayda has been selected to edit the opening trailer for CILECT
Congress 2016 held in Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
The trailer has been screened with live orchestra performance from
Hollywood film composer David McCormac. Also, Shayda is one of the
film critic members of Iranian Society of Queensland - Film Club since 2016.
Apart from filmmaking, Shayda pursued a modeling career on and off since
2011 and won the title of Ms. Charity Australia 2018 in Australia Galaxy
Pageants at Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise.
